Two Kent ladies Liesa Conlin and Julie Fane made it back into the England pool team after team trials were held in Great Yarmouth last week.

They will join the four who retained their places from last year (Jackie Baker, Barbara Taylor, Amy Beauchamp and Katie Henrick).

The Intercounty Finals were also held this weekend at the same venue in Great Yarmouth with the top 2 teams from each category in the 8 Regions across the Country attending.

Representatives from Kent were the Ladies, Mens B and Junior teams.  Both the Kent Ladies and the Kent Juniors team made it through to the Finals day on Sunday with the Juniors unfortunately losing in the Semis.

With 6 England players Kent Ladies is a very strong team and indeed won the Final to retain their Inter-County Title by an beating Lancashire with an impressive 23-8 scoreline.

The Ladies started the competition well, beating Wiltshire 23-8 and Cleveland 23-16 in the group stages before booking their place in the final by beating Staffordshire 23-17 in the Semi-Final.
